Left Hand Oktoberfest

After the niece's birthday party Saturday, Sly B, Sly B's Mama, and I decided to swing by our favorite local liquor store and buy some . . . AHEM . . . wine coolers . . . and some beer. I couldn't resist picking up Left Hand's Oktoberfest.

I have a soft spot for Left Hand, as it's a local brewery and brews my all-time favorite (so far) beer, Jackman's APA. I've finished off four of the six-pack already, and have to tell you all that it is fantastic. It's smooth, malty, and really easy to drink. It's kind of like a Michelob (Sly B confirms this), but maybe a bit maltier. Go get some, if you can find it!

I give this one a 9.0 out of 10.

Yes, I'll admit, I'm not a beer drinker. Never have been. Ever since my grandpa used to crack one open and pour a liberal amount of salt in it for the grandkids to share (Olympia, baby). Over the years, I came to enjoy Corona (with a squeeze of lime) and even enjoyed Tequiza (just cuz I love the taste of Tequila). I've been trying more beers since I've been with EssBee and am starting to realize what I like and dislike about beer. For the past couple years, I've known I like Michelob. I will agree with EssBee that Left Hand Oktoberfest is YUMMY!!! 'Course, now that you know I'm not a beer drinker, that means squat. Nevertheless, highly recommended. And, yes, the wine coolers were for me. The first I've drank since I was 14 - felt a bit fruity last night. Don't be so shocked. I like English period films too. Jane Austin...sigh. You gotta problem with that?
