It's time for the next book! I've chosen The Hummingbird's Daughter by Luis Alberto Urrea. I heard of this author from students I worked with in a group called Raza Womyn on the CU campus. The students read The Devil's Highway by Urrea for a class and they couldn't quit talking about it. I was initially going to recommend The Devil's Highway, but I discovered it was Non-Fiction and wasn't quite ready to do non-fiction in our group. I researched some of Urrea's other work and was enthralled by the descriptions of The Hummingbird's Daughter. It looks like it is going to be great! I haven't yet spoken with anyone who's read it, but I have a feeling. Ready....GO!
