90 Shilling

I have a new favorite beer, I think, and it's 90 Shilling Ale from O'Dells Brewery in Fort Collins, CO. It's a malty, crisp ale that goes with food and just makes you happy. I lived in Fort Collins for 3 years, but didn't know from good beer in those days. Darn the luck.

90 Shilling is 5.3% ABV with a low bitterness at 27 IBUs. It's a gorgeous amber color, with a flavor that sticks on your tongue for a minute after you swallow. This beer was introduced in 1989, a good year because that was the year I graduated from high school.

Do yourself a favor: If you can find this one, pick some up.

My rating: 10 out of 10.

I think someone might be burning rope in the other room -- I'd better go investigate . . .
