Broken Halo IPA

I have another beer find to rate for you all. Tonight, after a mid-ranged shitty workday, I stopped and picked a new IPA to try. This one is called Broken Halo IPA from Widmer Brothers Brewing Company in Portland, OR. It's a good one, y'all.

This is a 45 IBU beer, with 6% alcohol by volume. That's high bitterness, and pretty average alcohol content for a beer like this (though some IPAs range into the double-digits).

It's really quite smooth as IPAs go, with a fruity tone that smooths out the bitterness and brings out an almost grapefruit taste at the end.

I like this one -- it has made it onto my top 3 IPAs list. I give it a 8.5 out of 10 -- excellent.
