The Maharaja IPA

A work-mate who has a connect at the brewery hooked me up with a bottle of the seasonal Maharaja IPA from Avery Brewing out of Boulder. This is an Imperial style IPA. It's VERY hoppy with a strong grapefruit flavor. IBUs = 102, which means knock your socks off bitter. ABV = 9.78%, which means fast buzz.

This is not a beer to drink on a regular basis. It's a special occassion Spring/Summer seasonal. I liked it!

I give it 4 out of 5 nipples.
